Hokay. So.
I do not want to get into a public fight with another psychic. I just want to tell this story. From what I can tell, this woman is indeed gifted, and she is far more successful than I. She recently presented a blog post that proffered two beliefs that I want to object to:
1) Astrology is BS (in part because the future cannot be accurately foretold, but that is #2) – She admits that she has not studied astrology at all, but finds it impossible to believe that there are only 12 kinds of people in the world and they are all having the same kind of day as the others of their sign. Well, I’ve studied it just a little (I am no expert), and I understand far better than that. I don’t care much for “sun sign astrology”, which is the kind you read in the paper or magazines (or of course, online), because it assumes that you were born with your sun in your first house. But, if you discover what sign your first house really is in, and read the accompanying forecasts, they are pretty accurate.
2) The future cannot be accurately foretold – Now *I* call BS. I haven’t figured the whole thing out yet, but there has to be some destiny mixed in, because I accurately foretell the future ALL THE DANG TIME. Usually for people I don’t even know! I’ve stopped giving “advice” because nobody takes it, so I just tell it like it is: “Yeah, this guy is terrible for you and you should leave him, but you won’t. This will go on for two more years until you meet someone, I believe a woman, with the first name Joyce or Jocelyn, who will help you to see you are worth so much more than this toxic douchebag you are with now. Enjoy the next two years. That will be $50 please.”

Why do people get psychic readings? There are plenty of reasons, and entertainment is NOT #1 among them.
I’ve worked at a number of psychic fairs, and many of the attendees got readings with me and other readers as a one-time deal. Some of them only wanted to spend a little money once in a while to see what the psychic would say. And there’s nothing wrong with that. Sometimes a short reading can make a big difference for you, and at the very least, it is entertaining.
But let me tell you about some of the wonderful results my clients have had. Sure, it’s interesting when I can tell you that there’s a scar on your knee and why you have it, even though you’re wearing long pants and there’s no way I could have known that. (Except for being psychic, of course.) But more important to you is the reason why you have that scar. Not because you fell down or had surgery or whatever, but because of your energy and why you attracted such an injury. I tell you exactly what that means to you, so that you can prevent such injuries in the future, by understanding your energy and the ways that Spirit communicates with you.
It’s the old “give a man a fish” proverb: “Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime.” By getting one quick reading, you will get some insight, some new ideas, direction for where you are right now. But if you get regular readings, you’ll be guided through your life regularly. You’ll know what to expect and how to handle it. You’ll learn to attract and create more of what you want.
Another reason for getting regular readings is communicating with your late loved ones. If you are not in tune with your grandmother, for example, it’s possible that a good medium can bring information and guidance from her, too, in addition to the guidance that comes through the psychic from Spirit and your angels and guides.
I gave a reading to a new client not long ago. Her grandmother came through briefly, and I knew that the client was concerned about her. After assuring the client that Granny was just fine on the Other Side, I got a message from the grandmother: She was sorry for yelling. I started to interpret this, because a) on the Other Side, spirits generally have no reason to feel “sorry” and b) I rather doubted, in my very human way, that the grandmother had yelled at her granddaughter. As it turned out, Granny had suffered from Alzheimer’s and had indeed yelled at those she loved most toward the end of her life. This was the most meaningful information the client (and later, her mother) could have received. The client has since become a “regular” at my mystic’s table.
The healing and comfort that come from messages such as this one–“I’m sorry I yelled”–are among the most important services I provide. I was able to tell a woman that what appeared to be terrible physical pain for her uncle had not hurt him as it had appeared. He told her, through me, that the pain medication was effective and, in spite of his appearing to suffer, he was actually resting comfortably. Another woman learned through me that her father, who died unexpectedly and alone, was not afraid when the stroke occurred, only surprised. His wife was suffering in her worry that he had been afraid and she wasn’t there to comfort him, so knowing that he was not afraid was the most healing message she could have received.
Another really effective way of receiving guidance is to participate in group readings. Not every psychic offers these (I do), so you’ll have to find the right one. In groups, the “Group Effect” takes over and ensures that you will get the messages you are meant to get, whether you get a reading or not. It’s important for you to listen to all the readings that are given, because the Universe is very clever this way–you’ll get what you’re meant to get.
I once had the privilege to hear famous TV medium John Edward do his thing live. There were about 350 people in the room, and my daughter and I did not receive a direct reading. But there was one reading in particular that we could have sworn was for us. And there was so much helpful information in all of the readings–I couldn’t help but feel inspired and enlightened.
So what kind of information do my clients get in readings? All kinds of things, whatever is most important to them at that moment. And that’s another reason why they get readings with regularity: things change. Your energy shifts and changes with your thoughts and feelings. Events happen and change and shift. To give you some examples, here’s what I have covered with clients in recent readings: Career/job changes and improvements, relationships, “point of transfer” (this is when you are making a shift or transition), life path and purpose, predictions of good things to come. There’s always something new to discover!
How often is right for you? It varies by person, of course, but most of my clients like to talk to me 3-4 times per year. (My VIP clients get a reading every month.) They all say this keeps them on track, gives them clarity, and helps them make good decisions, as well as keeping them in touch with those on the Other Side.
What about you? What’s in your energy today?

Are you familiar with my Mystic Mail? It’s a way of channeling that I have to answer a question via email. You ask a question, and I call on your angels and guides to answer it. I usually think of it as “taking cosmic dictation”. (For more info on Mystic Mail, click here.)
A recent Mystic Mail was simply fascinating to both me and the client, and I just had to share. Client “D” is someone I’ve worked with for a year or two, but there was a surprise in here that I did not already know about her. It just goes to show you how mysteriously the Universe really does work!
“D” asked me to give her whatever information she needed at that moment–which, by the way, is a great way to do your Mystic Mail. It’s fine to ask about something specific, but often, my clients don’t know what to ask. What follows is our conversation via email:
My channeled message from her angels/guides to “D”:
Hi, “D”, we are feeling conversational, as you are, too. We feel that your conversations are running deep and long. These are good to have at this time. You are gaining so much personal insight from them. Continue them as long as they are available to you. Your opportunities for travel are excellent now. Many conversations come up during travel time. Yes, sometimes, conversations are with yourself–with us. This is excellent. As you move forward, we see you shifting and changing almost daily. Your time of changing is coming to an abrupt end soon, so be sure you have completed all the changes you want to make for a while. This has been very flexible and fluid for some time, for a while now. And now it’s going to settle in. We feel that you will be quite satisfied with all your changes and your settling down. Ahh… it feels good to be you. Relax and enjoy this time of your life. From now to 70 is much smoother sailing that it has been for 13 years. With much love.
*********
“D” responded:
Wow. Very timely, you have no idea. Now, before I say anything more, I want to know what you think of the number 13. Then I’ll tell you something.
*********
Me: I’m so glad! I can’t wait to hear about it.
I am not superstitious about 13. As it relates to you, it feels like a date to me, or date-related, like time or an anniversary of some sort.
In numerology, 13 is a 4, which is a hard work number. If you live in an address that is a 4, for example, you and all the inhabitants of the house will usually be working.
So now… tell me how this is meaningful!
*********
“D” again: It’s exactly what I wanted.
On [this upcoming date], I will come to the end of my 13th year of sobriety. I can’t remember telling you that I had to quit drinking, but it has been quite a ride. In my mind, the number 13 has had this significance. And I’m definitely ready to not struggle and enjoy life!!
What do you think about that??
In her next email, she added: The conversations could have to do with the constant listening to [www.Abraham-Hicks.com] in my commute . . . it could be possible trips to [another city] in the future . . . I just renewed my passport . . . and I’ve had lots of conversations with various business partners as we go through seismic changes.
I’m ready to make a complete shift in my work life. I’m managing a new company which will hopefully get me out of my financial mess and on to better things. I’m ready to ONLY do the things in the business that I enjoy or want to do.

Some of my clients get their first psychic reading ever with me. Others have been to a psychic or two and still others have been to many. What happens in a psychic reading?
I don’t know what happens in that little house down on the freeway, the one with the red neon hand on the sign with a hand-painted note urging, “$25 special!”, but I know why my readings are like.
First, I’ll tell you what does not happen in a session with me. I will not tell you there is a curse on you. I will not give you bad news. I will not tell you that unless you do such-and-such, you will die or never meet your soulmate or any negative and untrue crap like that.
And I absolutely will not tell you that your late grandmother is mad at you because you gave her secret recipe to your cousin or that your dead grandpa wants you to go to medical school. Spirits of our late loved ones are not angry, and they seldom ask anything of us, unless it is to our benefit and it is utterly our choice.
You might think those sound silly, but some people are afraid of what they might get from a psychic. It’s probably because of charlatans, but that is a diatribe that can wait.
So what does happen if you get a reading from me, besides it taking place on the phone, and besides not getting upset about Grandpa?
Broadly stated, you will get exactly what you are supposed to get, information that will benefit you at that moment, and suggestions for helping you create a better life.
More specifically, I will answer your questions about anything that is on your mind. Want to know what to do about your job? We’ll cover that. Want to know what your husband is really thinking? I will tell you that. Usually, looking into your closest relationships and telling you about them is among my best gifts.
I’ll also tell you if loved ones come through from the Other Side. Sometimes, it’s just a hello; other times, there is detailed information. In one reading, the only person who came through was a classmate of the client’s, who had passed away over 30 years ago. Just a classmate. But he was someone she remembered well. (You’ll find fascinating stories about my communication with spirits in my book, Dead On: Spirited Stories from a Medium’s Diary.)
Then I like to scan your energy. Other practitioners might call this “reading your aura”. When I close my eyes and ask our guides, I see you, as a person, and there are colors and shapes in and around you. I explain these and draw them for you, and ask our guides what these mean. Then I can interpret information for you that you don’t even know to ask about. Things like, you’re trying to impress someone, and here’s how to do that better. Or you are using one ability or talent to try to boost another. And here’s what to do about that.
And finally, I throw a few oracle cards for you. These are simple cards with a few words on them. I use these to confirm what we’ve discussed and to be sure we didn’t miss anything.
With each card, I tell you the words on it and I might give you a “face-value” description. Then I tap the card and tell you if I get anything that is specific to you.
We wrap up, and I send you my hand-written, customized notes for your reference.
And that’s what happens in a reading with me. Get your very own private phone reading here. Any questions? You know where to find me!

Just the title may have you scratching your head, I know. I was a little surprised myself when my angels started delivering to me a whole new concept about love and fear.
First of all, as I was coming up with a new name for myself (I’m not exactly sure why, but it seemed necessary–more on that soon), I landed on the name Lucy B Love, and recognized the Law of Love. The Law of Love is the Prime Universal Law, of which all other laws are a part. The laws of physics and the Law of Attraction are under this Love umbrella, and all are immutable.
Now, you may have heard that there are only two emotions, love and fear, and all other emotions come from one or the other. Conversely, you may know love as the creative force or the energy of creation or even as the Creator. After all, we are taught that “God is love”.
Another known concept is that hate is not the opposite of love, apathy is. Because it’s the absence of love that is the opposite. I just read in Abraham the other day that “in this life there is that which is wanted and the lack of it.”
What I am beginning to recognize is that fear is not the opposite of love–because only absence of love is the opposite of it–and fear is actually part of love also.
I call it the Fear Tool, because I believe we have it for more purpose than just to run away from the saber-tooth tiger. I hope that wasn’t too big a leap. I mean that fear’s evolutionary purpose would seem to be to protect us from harm.
These days, most Law of Attraction teachers (and remember that Law of Attraction is not the only law in action) teach positive thinking and good feelings to create or manifest what you like and enjoy. Many, including me, also teach that working on feeling good will help manifest. Likewise, putting the energy of fear on something… well, we tend to create things we don’t like.
So here’s the new info from Above: Like all of our gifts, Fear is a tool. The Fear Tool is a Love energy, based in Love just like everything else. And it can be used as a tool, and stop being something that we try hard to ignore, because it supposedly keeps our desires from being fulfilled.
Instead of ignoring fear and trying to avoid it, rather than saying, “Fear is False Evidence Appearing Real”, try using it to your advantage! Try being afraid of success, afraid of having lots of money, afraid of getting the perfect job, afraid of winning the game, afraid of having a wonderful relationship…
I admit this is in its nascent stage in my heart and soul, but I’m working on it, and I will share more as it develops. What do you think? Can you create with fear?

I hope your holidays were great! Mine were! And as I rang in the New Year, I started thinking about what I do, what I like to do, and what inspires me. And what I came up with might just inspire you.
This might be sort of like what you do with each New Year, or maybe every month or something like that. If not, I suggest you take a moment every now and again to review where you’ve been and think about where you’d like to go. At the very least!
2010 was hellacious for me–as it probably was for you. Most people I know, including clients, friends, and family, had a tough year. And you may have read my posts about looking for the end of it to come soon.
So as 2010 wound down, I was certainly looking forward to something new, better, different, a time in my life when I can experience all the joyful things I think of. And I thought about times in the past when I have been successful and comfortable–and experiencing all those joyful things! I remembered my first business…
I woke up on a Monday morning in May, 1999, and had a very clear inspiration: I would begin a business based on my former job. To create this business, I sat down with my old job description and my “Directory of Facilities and Services” (I had been a facilities manger for a large corporation), and I wrote down a list of all the tasks therein that I enjoyed doing. Anything I didn’t like to do was definitely not included.
This is how I developed my menu of services for my business.
Next, I made a list of everyone I could think of who worked or owned a business in Austin. I started calling every person on that list, about 250, and telling them what I was doing. I wasn’t making sales calls, just saying hello and what I was up to. I asked them to keep me in mind if they knew of anyone who needed a service that was on my list.
Well, lo and behold, it wasn’t long before I talked to someone who knew someone. Within days, I had my first contract!
As much as I loved that business, I have come a long way since 1999! And my current business is very different from that one. But I took a page from my old 1999 book, and I sat down this year and looked at my services. I enjoy doing all of them, so I asked myself, what do I love to do the most?
I’ve known the answer for a long time: sit around and chat. I love to talk with people. And I especially love to teach. So what really inspires me is…you! If I don’t have anyone to sit around and chat with, how can I serve in the way I was meant to serve?
Thus, I’d have to say that my favorite service is Suzi-Q&A (psychic readings), which I do in private readings by phone or Skype and in person for groups. I answer questions and/or give mini-readings and, along the way, I give insight into everyone’s life.
With all of this introspection, I came to this conclusion: In 2011, I am concentrating on Suzi-Q&As and individual readings and coaching. Oh, I will definitely continue to offer all my services, but I will focus mainly on answering questions–your questions.
Since I feel called to teach and share with others all that I know about the workings of the Universe, this seems to make the most sense.
So keep an eye on me, my emails (sign up here), and this blog. You’ll definitely want to see what happens next!
