The Golden Rule for Intimate Relationships (Video)

I’m often asked who my clients are, and what they are like. Are they like me? Or like you? Probably.
My programs and services are designed to help many different kinds of people, yet I find that most of my clients share certain characteristics.
Many of them are women, about 85%. Not a big surprise! With the re-emergence of the Divine Feminine, women are leading the world in awakening and enlightenment!
About half of my clients are mothers of grown (or almost-grown) children, many of them empty-nesters within the year of starting to work with me. This is a common time for women to start asking,
“Is this all there is?” “What happened to my plans for my life?” “What do I do with extra time?” “How do I grow myself and create the life I want, now that I have the opportunity?” Or maybe “It seems like I’m busier than ever… HELP!”
And 30% or more of my clients are at other transitional stages in their lives, such as returning to school, getting married or divorced, turning 30 or 40 or 50, or starting to care for an aging parent.
One other group that I get to work with a lot is entrepreneurs. I network a lot, so many of my networking buddies are also small-business owners, and we do get together!
Why are these wonderful women (and equally-wonderful-but-fewer men) interested in working with me?
I’ve asked them, and this is what they’ve told me:
Dani in Fresno, CA, said: I wanted to participate in the Master’s Course program because I had a reading with Susan and I really felt great afterward. I was hoping for an opportunity to work with her again. A few months later, I found out about her Master’s Course and I knew it would be the best fit for me so I signed up as soon as I could.
Leigh in Austin, TX, said: I already knew Susan from previous sessions and could easily expect some substantial information that I could use. I had some questions about my life plan and was excited to hear her input. I was also just plain curious about chakras and wanted to learn more – she was very educational and so easy to listen to/understand.
Teresa in Red Rock, TX, said: I had been searching for “something” when I participated in one of Susan’s teleclasses. Afterward, I was thrilled to be able to join her Master’s Course. Things began to change during the course and continue to change for me. The way I respond to my world and the way the world responds to me has changed and I feel better equipped and supported when dealing with issues that arise. Thank you, Susan, for helping me find my inner strength and power.
And even though my clients are all unique and uncommon, it’s easy for me to find things in common with all of them. That’s where the sweet spot is, in those common bonds, and the experiences we share that I have already been through, where I can help them to reach a new level of enjoyment in their lives. (4-15-10)
A few clients have asked me what the difference is between a medium and a channel. Throw in a question or two about psychics in general and it was time for me to clarify:
I am a medium. Maybe you’ve heard that before, or maybe you have experienced my work as a medium. But many people don’t know what a medium does. And then there’s this other word, “channel”, that many people have heard but don’t understand.
Fair enough. I can understand the confusion, because psychics, mediums (I prefer the proper plural, “media”), and channels are all woo-woo practitioners who deal in the unseen and the metaphysical. And I have even heard people who are these things misuse the terms. So here are my definitions that fit to the very best of my knowledge:
Medium: A living person who communicates in some fashion with the spirits of dead people. A medium may conduct seances or may communicate directly. John Edward is a famous medium whose primary work is communicating with the dead. I am also a medium, although I am not yet as famous as John Edward.
Channel: A person who allows a non-physical entity/ies to enter his/her body for the purpose of communicating with living people. The channel may or may not be conscious of the information coming through him/her. Esther Hicks is a famous channel who channels non-physical energies who call themselves Abraham. I do not channel in this way; however, I do “take cosmic dictation” and channel information from your guides in Mystic Mails. But I don’t give my body over. My latest book, Channel One: 137 Messages from the Universe, is comprised entirely of channeled messages.
And what about the psychic? Well, a medium is always a psychic, but a psychic is not necessarily a medium. A psychic is someone who can sense information about others and often predict the future. Sylvia Browne is a famous psychic who also happens to be a medium. I am also a psychic. I personally do not see that a channel necessarily qualifies as a psychic, but channeling definitely requires a special spiritual gift, and it seems likely that a channel might also be psychic in some way.
There, I hope that makes it all clear as mud. If you have any questions about it, you know where to find me!–Susan K
A client recently asked me about feeling drawn to things like classes or material things that she felt she couldn’t afford or justify buying. Now, I am not one to get into other people’s money stories. We all have them, and they are ours to deal with. (Unless I am your coach, and you ask me to help you, of course.)
After I channeled the answer from her spirit guides, I noticed the answer might be helpful to others, who wonder, “Why Can’t I Have That?” too. So here it is:
“As for your question below, about affording opportunities and the challenges therewith… I would say it’s all a matter of perspective and desire.
“Perspective being about all the coaches and teachers and information that are out there and available, some for no cost, some for a small cost, some for more. There’s a wide range, and sometimes we are drawn to the more costly ones.
“And that brings us to the desire part of it. You never have a desire for something without the ‘how’ being made available to you. Of course, the hard part can be figuring out what that HOW is! But the ‘how’ is not your job, it’s up to the Universe.
“So focus on the results you want, in terms of feelings, and leave the ‘how’ up to the Universe.
“And maybe, if something is hard to come by, it’s not the right program for you. Maybe there is something easier to get (e.g. cheaper) that is actually better for you. Keep your eyes open!”
Until next time, O Best Beloveds, Y’all be good! (2-23-10)
Wow, it has been incredibly busy around my little atelier lately! You may have noticed my new website–you’re lookin’ at it!–followed very shortly by my new book site–and oh, yeah, a whole new email system, too. (Want to join the email list and get three free reports? Click here.)
You’d better believe I have been burning the midnight oil, burning the candle at both ends, and burning holes in my computer screen from staring at it so long!
I managed to take a break in the middle of this week. I became so frustrated with what I was trying to do that I gave up. That’s right–I just quit! I even said it out loud, “I QUIT!” And I didn’t know when I was coming back to it, I just knew I couldn’t keep working on it. So I enjoyed my afternoon, watched some TV with my daughter, made a nice supper, and got a good night’s sleep.
About mid-morning the next day, I got back to work and guess what… I felt better! I felt competent again, and I was able to get my stuff done, even more than I had been planning to do.
I think that “I QUIT!” was what really did the trick. Surrender can be very powerful. Next time you’re up to your hiney in alligators, try quitting for a little while. When you come back to your project, maybe the alligators will have turned into bunny rabbits!
Until next time, as usual, y’all be good! (3-22-10)
I’ve had a rough couple of weeks. It’s true–the woman known as the Cheerful Mystic and Happy Medium (couldn’t resist) occasionally runs into rough waters. And it sucks. Fortunately, these moments don’t last, and yes, I DO work on getting them to end faster!
Some folks (maybe you) feel like it’s always rough. Their lives feel like they are not their own, and they feel like they don’t have any control over what happens to them. Believe it or not, that is not true. YOU are the creator of your life, whether you like what you’ve created or not!
Here’s what I have been doing lately to get out of my funk:
1) Forcing myself to “think happy thoughts”. I’m not kidding. I consciously embrace fantasies of trips to Disney World, my dream house (which is coming soon), and fun encounters with others. I find that fantasies are better than memories, not because they are any different to your brain or the Universe, but because they can be perfect, and with perfect thoughts come perfect feelings of joy, ultimately resulting in a shift in your energy and a better day.
2) Asking myself, “What was I thinking before this all started?” This can be more complicated, but you can think about what your thoughts were and connect them to what’s going on now, what you’ve created with those thoughts. Don’t dwell, just understand. Sometimes it helps to know “Why did I create THIS???”
If you need help with this type of exercise, something that will change the results of your constant CREATING… You know where to find me!
Until next time, y’all be good! (3-21-10)
