The Mystery of Mystic Mail

Are you familiar with my Mystic Mail?  It’s a way of channeling that I have to answer a question via email.  You ask a question, and I call on your angels and guides to answer it.  I usually think of it as “taking cosmic dictation”.  (For more info on Mystic Mail, click here.)

A recent Mystic Mail was simply fascinating to both me and the client, and I just had to share.  Client “D” is someone I’ve worked with for a year or two, but there was a surprise in here that I did not already know about her.  It just goes to show you how mysteriously the Universe really does work!

“D” asked me to give her whatever information she needed at that moment–which, by the way, is a great way to do your Mystic Mail.  It’s fine to ask about something specific, but often, my clients don’t know what to ask.  What follows is our conversation via email:

My channeled message from her angels/guides to “D”:

Hi, “D”, we are feeling conversational, as you are, too.  We feel that your conversations are running deep and long.  These are good to have at this time.  You are gaining so much personal insight from them.  Continue them as long as they are available to you.  Your opportunities for travel are excellent now.  Many conversations come up during travel time. Yes, sometimes, conversations are with yourself–with us.  This is excellent.  As you move forward, we see you shifting and changing almost daily.  Your time of changing is coming to an abrupt end soon, so be sure you have completed all the changes you want to make for a while.  This has been very flexible and fluid for some time, for a while now.  And now it’s going to settle in.  We feel that you will be quite satisfied with all your changes and your settling down.  Ahh… it feels good to be you.  Relax and enjoy this time of your life.  From now to 70 is much smoother sailing that it has been for 13 years.  With much love.

“D” responded:

Wow.  Very timely, you have no idea.  Now, before I say anything more, I want to know what you think of the number 13.  Then I’ll tell you something.

*********
Me:  I’m so glad!  I can’t wait to hear about it.

I am not superstitious about 13.  As it relates to you, it feels like a date to me, or date-related, like time or an anniversary of some sort.

In numerology, 13 is a 4, which is a hard work number.  If you live in an address that is a 4, for example, you and all the inhabitants of the house will usually be working.

So now… tell me how this is meaningful!

*********
“D” again:  It’s exactly what I wanted.

On [this upcoming date], I will come to the end of my 13th year of sobriety.  I can’t remember telling you that I had to quit drinking, but it has been quite a ride.  In my mind, the number 13 has had this significance.  And I’m definitely ready to not struggle and enjoy life!!

What do you think about that??

In her next email, she added:  The conversations could have to do with the constant listening to [www.Abraham-Hicks.com] in my commute . . . it could be possible trips to [another city] in the future . . . I just renewed my passport . . . and I’ve had lots of conversations with various business partners as we go through seismic changes.

I’m ready to make a complete shift in my work life.  I’m managing a new company which will hopefully get me out of my financial mess and on to better things.  I’m ready to ONLY do the things in the business that I enjoy or want to do.

Why doesn’t Grandma come through in a reading?

I recently gave a reading to a new client and afterward, she sent me an email:

Hi Susan,
I have a question for you.  When you do your readings, you often call on people who have passed on.  During my reading no one who has passed on in my family gave any messages.  Should I take this personally?  Is there a reason why they wouldn’t be interested in talking with me?
Thanks and thank you again for the reading.–A.

Hi, A.–

Great question, and I’m glad you asked.  I didn’t go into the reasons that we don’t hear from those on the Other Side, but there are several.  Oftentimes, the client (you) is already in touch with those she was closest to, and she doesn’t need me to intervene.  Sometimes, the client is too young to have lost anyone, or the client simply isn’t very interested (this one doesn’t always make any difference).  And then sometimes, the spirits just aren’t in the mood.  Or you’re not supposed to get that particular experience through this particular medium.

It’s definitely not something to take personally.  Next time, I can try to call up your loved ones on the Cosmic Phone, if you like.

Oh, and I also feel that what you got yesterday was what was important for you at this time.

I hope that answers your question.  Thank you again for getting a reading.  I look forward to next time!

A Good Spooky Story–and It Has Shoes!

Disco, July, 2012As you may or may not know, I have been moving during about half of the time since January, most of it clustered into the last four months.  Now, this is part of the topic I’ve been promising for a while, e.g., the s**tstorm that has been 2010 and when it will ever end.  But this is a story about shoes.  And a spirit.  And the spirit of shoes.

I have a pair of black patent leather penny loafers that I love very much.  Of my low-heeled casual fall/winter shoes, they are probably my favorites.  In the two-plus moves we committed this summer, somehow, they were lost in the shuffle.  Keep in mind that a good half of my house is in a storage unit nearby, so anything I can’t find might be in there.  In a box.  Amongst many other boxes.  And furniture.  And two bikes with flat tires.

Sorry, again, the story of the s**tstorm will be next.

Back to my shoes.  I had looked high and low, hither and thither.  I devised an ingenius inventory system for the moves, so almost everything could be found fairly easily.  (Planning two or more moves in short succession?  Call me today for tips on inventory!)

Alas, my list revealed nothing.  One box held some promise:  it contained items from the same area in which the shoes lived in our old house.  I dug through it, only to reveal a number of robes, evening bags, two favorite dolls from childhood… no black patent leather penny loafers.  Sigh.

Then I remembered that I have often called upon my late husband’s divining skills with some success.  Why didn’t I think of him before?  “Tim,” I pleaded, “I sure could use your help finding my shoes.  I’m also looking for the Dust Buster, the framed pictures of the elephant and the tiger, and my bath rugs.  I’d appreciate your help.”

First thought in my head:  “The shoes are in the attic.”

Second thought in my head:  “I live in an apartment and I don’t have an attic.”

Somewhere down the line of thoughts in which I argued with Tim’s suggestion, the thought arose:  “My mother has an attic.  And I put some of my things there.”

Well, I high-tailed it to my mom’s, scooted up to the attic–and, there, amongst Christmas wrap and suitcases, was a black plastic bag in a box.  Inside the bag were–ta da! (Oh, nevermind, you knew this was coming)–my shoes!  Along with a few other pairs, yay.  AND under the bag, in the box, what to my wondering eyes did appear?  The Dust Buster!  Another yay!

The two framed pictures and the bath mats have yet to appear, but I was pretty darned grateful to Tim for his help.  Sure, maybe I’m accessing my subconscious, or maybe I’m talking to Tim and he to me, or maybe it’s The Great Gazoo from “The Flintstones.”  Does it matter?

I got my shoes!  (10-25-10)

Update:  After yet another move in November of 2012, the tiger and elephant pictures and the bath mats all showed up!  It was like a treasure hunt in which I found lots of treasure!

Manifesting: A House Story

Remember in “The Secret”, when the rich guy told his story about vision boards?  And when he moved into his glorious mansion, he had his boxes of vision boards sitting around his office?

His little boy came in, pulled out a vision board, and asked, “What’s this, Daddy?”

The man explained a little bit about the vision boards and then looked at the one in his son’s hand.  To his amazement, he had just moved into the house on the vision board!  It was a picture of this magnificent home which he had cut out of a magazine about five years earlier!  Wow!

This story is almost that good.  In fact, I think it’s better, because it happened to me.  And most likely, it has happened to you in one way or another, but you may not have noticed it.

I am presently house-sitting for a friend whose mother recently passed away.  I had wanted to return to my hometown for many, many years, and this was a great opportunity to get back here.  My friend is not sure about the future of the house, and I want to get my own place as soon as possible.

I started looking online in a neighborhood I like for a rent house to live in for a year or two until I build my next dream house (It was a special manifestation too, but that’s another story.)  The second house I looked at was very appealing:  a two story ante-bellum-style colonial, with a front porch and balcony (known as a “double gallery”).  A dirt circular drive has been carved into the ample front yard, and the house is on a heavily-wooded cul-de-sac.

I went to see it in person on Sunday, and when I woke up on Tuesday (I always do my best thinking in the morning, between asleep and awake), I remembered the house–I drew it during a visualization exercise several years ago!

I attended a mini-workshop in which I was guided through a visualization process to my… what was it?  Dream home?  Place to feel at home?  I can’t remember exactly, but I do remember clearly what I drew–and I just found that house!

This is not the first time this has happened to me–not by a long shot–but it still thrills me when it happens!

Have you noticed this type of manifestation in your life?  Have you noticed how powerful you are?  Have you noticed how much fun it is to be a spiritual being having this human experience?  Let me know!

Until next time, my friends, Y’all be good!

Why can’t psychics avoid natural disasters?

Guest blogger Erin Pavlina brings us today’s post.  This was originally posted on her blog January 27, 2006.  I think it’s a wonderful answer to a typical question about psychics and other intuitives. –Susan K.

Question: If psychics are really psychic then how come they get stuck in natural disasters. Don’t they know they’re coming? – Jim

Answer: What you’re really asking is if people can predict or know the future then how could they ever be in an earthquake or other disaster, and wouldn’t they even be able to predict their own death and avoid it, right? Being “psychic” is a lot like having a radio. You have to turn it on, then turn it to a frequency that’s receiving particularly well, and listen. You don’t always get a message that says, “Earthquake, 3:21am, San Francisco, January 31, 2006, you might want to be in Aruba…” Sometimes the message is just intuitive like, “Something is going to happen to shake up this city, and soon. I can feel it coming. Maybe now’s a good time to go visit my sister in Chicago.”

Keeping your “radio” on all the time is taxing, and usually pointless. Do you really need spiritual guidance to tell you when you need to use the bathroom? Also, if you’re not focused on a strong, clear frequency you get a lot of static, and who wants to listen to that all day. Next time you’re in your car, tune your radio to a station that’s between two others and see how long you leave YOUR radio on.

The other reason that psychics don’t always forsee doom is because they’re not supposed to know. Sometimes things that most of us would conclude are “bad” are really “good” things in disguise. Sometimes bad things are the only way good things can come about. If we had psychics running around telling people to evacuate cities before major disasters then the universe would just find some other way of teaching us our lessons. Now, if we learn our lessons faster, maybe the earth will stop shaking. That’s something to work on!  (5-31-10)
